Hate it or Love it? The TV Easel

Good morning!  I have to say, I have been feeling so fabulous this week!  I'm in the middle of doing some vision boarding and setting goals for this year.  If you read my Happy New Year's post, then you know a little bit about how I felt completely stripped of ambition this past year and just felt plain old lost.  Well after some prayer and fasting, I have a project and am so excited to go full speed ahead!  I'll share a little later once I iron out the details!

I first saw the art easel turned TV stand/media center while watching Nate Berkus' show.  Nate (yes, we're on a first name basis in my head) had Mr. Goodwill Hunting make over a living room, and I have to admit the first thing I noticed was that pretty coral console he reworked and not so much the easel.

Anyway, I have been coming across the idea every so often, but I'm not convinced that I'm a huge fan, partly because it leaves little storage space. I suppose a way around that would be to keep things like my DVDs and my husband's Playstation games in a nearby place like that console above.

DIY Easel TV Stand - House & Home

I found some tutorials here and here, and if you're not into DIY, you can buy a reasonably priced easel here.

So what do you think? Hate it or love it?

    1. I'm thinking the wires may not have to show. For example, you can attach them and run them down the back of the easel (like the legs for example). I'm sure there are ways around everything if you really love the idea.

  3. Although I thought at first it sounds very trendy, I also wondered where would the wires go? I like the idea because it seems to create openness in the area, (Livingroom, bedroom) and it just looks clean. But I didn't notice wires and I know with cable there are wires from the box to the TV to the wall. I can imagine althought I like it, I'm up in the air on this one.
