Odd Setting, Perfect House

Here's a little fun fact...Bruce and I dream of one day buying an old post office or firehouse and transforming it into a dream home. We would love the challenge of completely re-imagining a space for a completely different purpose than it was designed to be.  I know what you're thinking---ya'll are crazy!  However, maybe you won't think us so crazy after you see how Scott Newkirk renovated a defunct firehouse and transformed it into his dream home.

New York Magazine featured Newkirk, a fashion stylist, this Fall.  His home is in the Fort Green section of Brooklyn and is 3,000 square feet of gawgeousness.

  2. This place is stunning! I love the character you get from a home that wasn't meant to be a house....
